HOME IS

In ‘Home Is’, the long-term impact of forced migration is explored by the Barnet Asian Women’s Association through performance.

This short documentary has been used in an NHS GP training context to teach about a social prescribing model of healthcare and narrative medicine.

This video secured local authority funding to support BAWA’s members with digital inclusion.

Produced, directed, shot and edited by myself, Home Is was selected for the Women Over 50 Film Festival and the Barcelona International Film Festival.


This short documentary tells the story of a women's embroidery co-operative in Madagascar. With Meline
(a member of Stitch) as our guide, we see how creativity combats poverty and flourishes into independence.

The Southall Ever After project supported the diverse communities of Southall, South London, to reflect on their personal and collective past, present and future through a range of arts-based activities.

This film, and uncut interviews from it, forms part of an ethnographic research project run by University of the Arts London and the Arts and Humanities Research Council.

This film would not be possible without Southall Community Alliance, Punjabi Theatre Academy UK, London Transport Museum, Gunnersbury Park Museum and A Rocha UK.

Me and My Southall is a portrait of ‘Little India’ in London.

I shot and edited this short documentary for the PunJabi Theatre Academy.


I created a series of videos for the multinational interfaith charity, The Faith & Belief Forum’s first online fundraising gala. This involved socially distanced filming and creative use of archive. The Faith & Belief Forum believes that intolerance has no place in our communities and that diversity adds value. I wholeheartedly share this belief.
